Job Role : Chocolate Manufacturing Process Operator (3 Shift)
GCB Cocoa UK is a Chocolate and Cocoa processor based in Suffolk who are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Process Operators. You will be willing to learn new skills to manufacture Chocolate in a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility, including undertaking comprehensive training to enable you to take part in chocolate tasting panels. Full training on the use of specialist equipment will be provided.
Working Pattern:
3 Rotating Shifts (14.00 – 22.00; 06.00 – 14.00; 22.00 – 06.00; Monday – Friday, rotating weekly)
We offer:
- Base Salary of £26,800 + Shift Allowance of £2,400 per annum (3 Shift)
- Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme: 5% Employee pension contributions are matched by 5% Employer pension contribution.
- 20 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), rising to 22 days after 2 years’ service, and 25 days after 5 years’ service.

Roles and Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
- Handle Ingredients on an industrial scale for the purpose of chocolate manufacturing
- Operate depositing lines to produce Solid Chocolate for remelting, recipe inclusions and decorations.
- Undertake packaging, storage and distribution tasks.
- Maintaining accurate records in line with BRC Food Safety standards and customer requirements
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Work closely with Operational, Logistics and Hygiene teams to maximise production quality and efficiency
- Uphold exceptional Health and Safety standards
- Build a comprehensive knowledge of ingredients and processes to ensure production meets customer requirements.
Qualifications/Experience:
Essential skills and experiences:
- The ability to follow written instructions and perform basic calculations
- Previous experience of working to robust Quality standards and following procedures
- The ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and confident to escalate any issues to ensure quality and safety
- Strong computer literacy – e.g. able to input data, confirm settings on machinery and produce reports with training
- Conscientious with strong attention to detail
- A passion for chocolate!
Desirable skills and experiences:
- Experience working in food manufacturing or with food safety standards
- Basic Food Hygiene qualification
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Experience of working with chocolate
